Neurofeedback is a challenging field intersected by the independent boulevards of psychology, neuroscience, and engineering. In this domain, many challenges seem larger than life until the multiple lights of several disciplines disclose a path we all can follow. It might well be true that more was learned about the brain last week than we were taught all the way through school !

Boston Neurofeedback Ctr. is built upon these rich skill sets from the outset. In fact, our very workspace is an example of a joint design. The waiting room color as well as its textures and furnishings were chosen to provide the first soothing step that gently swirls around you as you enter. The comfy chairs you rest in during treatments, in attractive offices that all have incandescent lights instead of harsh fluorescent types. The computer software and equipment is unobtrusive, and recedes into the background. Overall, this office just makes you say, "Aahhhhh." And all of these features and functions emerged from a collaboration among concepts in psychology, neuroscience, and engineering.

Daily clinical progress refines our neurofeedback protocols measure for measure, as we make small adjustments and adaptations to our key software. QEEG (brain mapping) is a routinely used and powerful neuroimaging technique we find helpful in building treatment plans for ourselves as well as for other neurofeedback facilities in the region.

In the "Back Room" pieces of the next generation of equipment are being developed and coaxed to life, as we steadily move toward integration into our Evidence-Based whole.

In Boston Nuerofeedback's environment we know diversity is a good thing. We like colors that make us feel safe and secure. We like surroundings and textures which feel nice to the touch. We work where the neuroscience, the engineering, and the psychology of this field intersect, thrilled by the challenge and looking forwarding to the day we get to meet you.
